In early summer 2023, I designed an address plaque as a gift to my spouse for our new home in a new and developing subdivision. Shortly after installing our address plaque onto our facade, the builder/developer took notice of my design. I was then approached by  Shrock Premier Custom Homes and asked to create my address plaque design for the entire subdivision. 

While working with the Digital Print Department, I discovered a need to increase internal employee knowledge and understanding of the standard substrates available for use on our digital and large format print projects. I created these sample books to benefit of the Art Department staff, our Customer Service staff, and our Sales staff to utilize in their daily workflows. With this idea, I provided a physical sample book that contains 4" x 6" tiles of each substrate with clear labeling that spell out pertinent information for creating job orders, estimating, project decision making, and even to show to the customer to give them a better understanding of their finished goods. These sample books have proven valuable to our daily work processes and are still being used today.

In early 2021, the focus of our body of work was moving quickly toward packaging manufacturing. During this fast-paced time I was able to lead the company into a calculated decision to upgrade the onsite prepress management software to coincide with the installation of an additional 5-color offset press to the facility. I performed extensive research to facilitate the upgrade project, and led the charge in software and hardware installation, training, and press calibration. This upgrade was a specified effort to streamline the prepress setup processes for all three printing presses at the same time, and provide more efficient inline controls at the press operator level. This move also increased the print quality capabilities by increasing output production to a 200 linescreen dot matrix. The opportunity to lead this change and train to this level has been a monumental moment in my career.
